The Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals (MAGIP) is pleased to offer 20 student scholarships to the 2010 Intermountain GIS Conference to be held in Bozeman, Montana April 19-23, 2010. The scholarship covers the full registration fee for the conference. All other costs such as travel, lodging, and workshop fees will remain the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. Students will be expected to assist organizers with conference activities for a minimum of 8 hours during the conference. A coordinator will assist and schedule the students. Assistance is needed primarily on Wednesday, April 21st and Thursday, April 22nd, but some assistance will be needed each day throughout the week.
These scholarships are only available to students enrolled in a two-year or four-year higher learning institution (state, private, or tribal). A number of scholarships come with a $150 stipend to offset travel expenses for those recipients who do not currently live within normal commuting distance of the Bozeman area.
A panel will review applications received by 5:00 pm on March 20th, 2010 and notify all applicants by March 25, 2010. The scholarships will be allocated in the order applications are received.
