$1,000 GIS Scholarship!

ATTENTION
Undergraduate Students or First-Year Graduate Students

If you will be an undergraduate student or a first-year graduate student at a Montana College or University in 2008, and are doing a GIS project or research, you are eligible to receive this $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals (MAGIP)

TO APPLY:

Please submit the following information:

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Phone number & email address
  4. A project proposal that explains how GIS will be used in your research
  5. Name, phone and email of advisor on research project
  6. Two letters of recommendation supporting both the student and the proposal enclosed in a sealed envelope signed across the envelope flap
  7. A statement of financial need

Applications MUST be received by the 31st of March, 2008.

Applications will be forwarded to the selection committee and recipients will be contacted in writing by April 30th, 2008. Recipients will have the following school year to develop their research and will receive a free conference registration and invitation to present the results of their work at the 2009 Intermountain GIS Users' Conference.
