What We Do

MAGIP is a volunteer organization and relies on its members to accomplish our goals of communication, education, outreach and technical coordination in the GIS community. Your participation is essential, so we encourage you to contact a committee chairperson and volunteer to share your expertise, ideas and energy.

We encourage MAGIP members to network with other GIS professionals across the state, county and in their communities and form local support and discussion groups. Our MAGIP email list can be used to share information, ask questions and provide notice of training opportunities.

The MAGIP newsletter, Montana GIS News is published quarterly and provides updates on MAGIP committees and the activities of GIS professionals around the state.

Using the MEMBERS ONLY area of our website, MAGIP members can post job announcements and personal resumes.

To facilitate communication, we provide information about and access to national, statewide and local contacts.
