Been doing GIS since 2004 for the federal government. Started my interest in 2000 as a college student while working as an intern. Has the Regional Geospatial Coordinator (RGC). I provide oversight and coordination of program efforts for geospatial support, services, and direction for multi-disciplinary data input. Assesses and determines management needs for the implementation and collaboration of GIS data and resources related to natural resources activities and functions, such as conservation, forest, rangeland, fisheries, and wildlife, including developing, reviewing or revising project proposals and work statements for regional planning consistent with the objectives of the national geospatial program.
Directs an intricate and complex program of geospatial activities to overcome significant resource or environmental problems for potentially sensitive matters. Develops and implements a regional GIS management plan for extending and transferring the system concept, processes and products to support goals and objectives.
Coordinates with regional officials and geospatial resource users to determine program priorities in determining methods for accomplishing desired goals and objectives, and to determine format requirements for all asset data to be placed in a geospatial data repository. Provides guidance, direction, and coordination during the development of national and regional standards for geospatial functions.
