GIS Day Lecture Series-Museum of the Rockies

  • 11/16/2023
  • 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
  • Hager Auditorium-Museum of the Rockies

The keynote session is on Nov 16th at 12:30 in the Hager Auditorium at the Museum of the Rockies.

For this year MSU has two amazing speakers lined up - Emma Brown and Maddy Grubb.

Emma is a Bozeman High Alum who studied geography at Middlebury College, and is now a Graphics Reporter (aka GIS/Cartographic Reporter) at the Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/news/author/emma-brown).

Maddy is Bobcat and a former student of mine who is an award-winning cartographer (though she is pretty much self-taught), who now works for Grand Teton National Park and as a free-lance cartographer (https://maddygrubbmaps.github.io/).

Emma and Maddy are both young (early 20’s), have creative, bright minds, and do really amazing work. They are also super fun and relatable, and they will show the real world applicability of all things geospatial.
