      Good Day Membership,

I am trying to figure out the best type of Emergency Locator to purchase. I have no experience in this area of GIS/GPS and was hoping some of you could give me some advice.

Thank you Sincerely and in Advance,
    Wendy Thingelstad

    Wendy:

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but the Boy Scout Troops here around the Gallatin Valley have been using SPOT Personal Trackers for a couple of years now.  Different service levels let you use it just for emergencies or for updating a web log of your travels.  I don't know of anybody who's had to use one for an emergency yet, but people have seemed pretty happy with the tracking mode so far.
