Meeting Space Authorization

    A few MAGIP members in Missoula are working to revive regular “GIS coffeetalk” sessions starting in May.  Our plan is to host a meeting every 2 months. The Missoula County Library has a very nice and serviceable meeting space at no cost and with parking available.  They require a use agreement for the meeting room.  http://www.missoulapubliclibrary.org/images/files/forms/meetingrooms.pdf

     

    I would like MAGIP to be the sponsoring entity, and thus would authorize the use agreement for the meeting rooms.  It is not clear to me how this gets done. Therefore I am starting by making a motion:

     

    MOTION: "MAGIP authorizes Michael Sweet and/or Kyle Balke to sign a Missoula Public Library Meeting Room Agreement on behalf of MAGIP for the purpose of hosting local GIS educational sessions from May 2012 to May 2013."

    Michael -

    You must first submit a formal request form that will be reviewed by the BOD at the next meeting. If this is urgent, we can vote on it, however, the form must first be submitted.

    You can find the form on the main page on the left hand side, it says Request Board Assistance.

    I am so happy to hear that there is a renewed interest in the Coffee talks. I am just too busy to have GISers of the Round Table meetings currently!
